Last night went out with an old friend to help celebrate her divorce.
We went to an old hang out back when she was unencumbered and when I
had my co-op and lived downtown. The neighborhood has evolved - for
good & bad - the bar/restaurant hasn't changed much - still a nice,
relaxed watering hole the lawyers/clerks/judges that work in the
area frequent - and had a little too much champagne. Or maybe just
the right amount of champagne, given the occasion. :) All-in-all
it was a cathartic, jovial, look-to-the-future evening. I cannot
wait to get together again.

Um. I cannot believe I'm asking this but. Does anyone
know where I can find Ed Westwick and Chace Crawford
slash? ::hangs head in shame::

A friend in Chicago - megmac38 - brought to my attention that
she won't be able to watch tonights ep because the station that carries
SPN, WGN, is broadcasting a Chicago Cubs baseball game... uh, what gives?! Also, does anyone in the Chicago area know if the ep will be broadcast at another time or on another channel or perhaps an alternate
means of viewing the ep? Thanks in advance for any help offered!

I haven't been posting much lately due to a family health issue, lack
of time - and energy - and a general sense of being overwhelmed
on a lot of different fronts, so I've decided to go through my
LJ friends list and defriend so that exploring LJ the rare times I do
come here to look around & catch up on SPN and our boys it's easier.

Can anyone rec a celebrity news/gossip comm(s) with
picspams, similar to the old celebritease? I'm a
member of ohnotheydidnt and I'm not liking it
very much. They post about celebs I don't care one
iota about (Oscar de la Hoya in women's lingerie? I
don't need to know!) and they post far too frequently,
again, about celebs and "events" I could care less about.
I think it's time I give that comm the boot.

Yay! I'm still unsure who I'm rooting for this season,
but I am leaning towards Marie Osmond. What about you?

What is with The CW? They really should show some
love to Supernatural. As has been mentioned recently
in other LJ's, why haven't there been new promo pics
of Jared & Jensen for S3? Aren't our boys photogenic
enough for the suits? Can't they afford to pay for a
photo shoot? And where are the S3 advertisements in
the subways and on the bus shelters and billboards
around town? I haven't seen a one. Uh, it's 10 days
until the season premiere... What are you people waiting
for?! Also, I watched the dreck that is Gossip Girl over
the weekend and lo and behold what do I see in the
background? A billboard advertisement for Smallville on
the side of a NYC bus streaming through the shot.
Um, equal time please! Why must SPN be the crazy aunt
that's kept locked - and out of sight - in the CW attic?
How about showing our boys and our much loved TV series
some much deserved attention for a change? I get so
frustrated by this "network". Has anyone seen any
non-broadcast TV promotional work for SPN in their neck
of the woods? Newspaper/magazine ads, billboards, pics
of the boys? /rant

My friend megmac38 made a decent case for giving Numb3rs
and it's fandom a chance (I'm willing to give it a shot!) Thursday
night over drinks and dinner but. I made an even better case
for Supernatural. LOL I'm extremely proud of myself and know that,
with setting the stage for Sam/Dean and the Winchester family myth-arc,
and reccing all of my favourite fic, she'll find SPN irresistible.
It also doesn't hurt that she's already on board when it comes to
the Jensen & Dean lusciousness.

Wouldn't you know it. They're filming scenes for the Sex & the
City movie right in front of my office building today! And I
took a vacation day! Story of my life. LOL Un - friggin' -
believable.

Meeting good friend megmac38 for drinks tonight at The
Four Seasons. Meg & I first met through QAF fandom, although
our friendship encompasses much more than fandom(s). She's
been trying her best to get me into Numb3rs and I've been
trying my best to interest her in SPN. LOL We've each
sampled fics in each others fandom of choice (I'm slightly
interested in David/Colby...) but after a few Cosmos/Martini's/
Kir Royales/name your poison tonight I think both fandoms may be one
fan richer each come tomorrow. Either way, it'll be great to catch up on
RL, have some laughs, a few drinks and campaign for our respective boys.

I haven't been feeling LJ much lately. I check in maybe once
a day, just to make sure fandom hasn't imploded with new wank
or that Jared & Jensen haven't professed their undying love
for one another, come out of the closet and decided they're
going to live happily ever after together. I haven't been
reading any fic that hadn't already been printed out a month
ago, languishing on my desk at home. I haven't been commenting much
on my flist. I'm hoping it's just a case of the blahs. A huge
ass case of the blahs. And that it'll pass once October 4th
gets here. Come ON, October 4th!!!

Anyway, enough of my whining. Please stop by and admire the pretty
